British architectural historians visited Split
A group of experts from Great Britain visited from 4–6 October significant examples of twentieth century Croatian architecture in Split led by Ana Šverko, an architect, architecture historian and Senior Research Associate at the Institute of Art History – Cvito Fisković Center in Split and Ana Grgić, architect and lecturer at the Faculty of Architecture, Civil Engineering and Geodesy in Split.
An enthusiastic interest in Croatia’s architecture has developed through a programme of talks in London by distinguished architectural historians from Croatia organised by the British-Croatian Society in cooperation with the Twentieth Century Society (C20).
Ana Šverko’s participation in the organization and lectures as part of this study visit is a result of activities within the project Art and Architecture of Urban Settings in Croatia led by the Institute of Art History.
