Beatriz García Moreno, a predoctoral researcher at the National University of Distance Education (UNED, Spain), is undertaking a one-month research stay at the Institute of Art History, from September 30 to November 1, 2025.
Her research project Imaginarios domésticos de la vivienda franquista (Domestic Imaginaries of Franco's Regime Housing) explores mass housing, its representations, and the imaginaries produced by large residential schemes.
At the Institute of Art History, under the supervision of Dr Tamara Bjažić Klarin, she joined the Housing.Yu – Right to Housing: the Production of Spaces of Everyday Life in Yugoslavia (1945–1991) project team, aiming to broaden her dissertation through a transnational perspective and innovative methodologies in housing studies.
During her research stay at the Institute, Beatriz García Moreno will also give a public lecture on the current results of her research.
