Working visit of The J. P. Getty Trust delegation
A delegation from The J. Paul Getty Trust respresented by Thomas W. Gaehtgens (director of the Getty Research Institute), Joan Weinstein (deputy director of the Getty Foundation), Elizabeth Mansfield (program officer of the Getty Foundation's Connecting Art Histories and Digital Art History Initiatives) and Barbara Gaehtgens, visited the Institute of Art History on Monday, 5 June 2017.
With the leaders of the current IAH scientific projects they discussed on the potential future co-operation and the iniciatives of the focused programs in the interest of the research development of art history in Croatia and the region. We have been presented valuable collections of architectural drawings of historical settlements and cultural heritage monuments in Croatia, as well as the extensive photocollections specialized in the documentation of cultural heritage, which are part of the IAH's Photoarchives (N. Gattin, B. Balić).
For the guests from Getty the director of the Institute organized a visit to the Metropolitana – Libraries of the Zagreb Archdiocese, where they were presented the values of Valvasor's graphic collection.
