The Heritage of Sir Thomas Graham Jackson
Sir Nicholas Jackson will give a lecture entitled “The Travel Diaries and explorations of Dalmatia by the Architect and Watercolourist Sir Thomas Graham Jackson between 1882 and 1893” on Saturday, April 21, 2018 at 12.00 p.m. in the premises of the Institute of Art History – Cvito Fisković Centre (Kružićeva 7, Split).
Sir Nicholas Jackson Bt. Hon Fellow, Hertford College, Oxford, and one of the UK’s most celebrated organ recitalists, will speak about his grandfather, Sir Thomas Graham Jackson, who visited Croatia with his wife in 1882, 1884, 1885 and 1893, as well as about the Travel Diaries, which he edited for his three-volume book Dalmatia, the Istria and the Quarnero, published by Oxford University Press in 1887.
On Sunday, April 22, 2018 at 7.00 p.m. Sir Nicholas will give an organ recital at St Clare’s Monastery (Klarina 1, Split) on the Petar Nakić short octave organ. For more information, please read the Concert Program.
