Summer School “Our Many Easts”

Sanja Horvatinčić is a lecturer at the Third International Summer School “Our Many Easts”, held in Ljubljana from 24–30 August 2024. The summer school covers topics such as the legacy of Eastern European avant-gardes, archives as tools of emancipation, new networks of the “non-aligned”, art in times of conflict and war, and ecology and the environment. The organizer is the Modern Gallery in Ljubljana in cooperation with ZRC SAZU (Scientific Research Center of the Slovenian Academy of Sciences and Arts). The program is part of the “Museum of the Commons” project of the international platform L'Internationale.

In addition to the workshop for summer school participants, Sanja Horvatinčić will also hold a public lecture entitled “A Yugoslav Community of Practice and the Production of Monuments in Post-Liberation Guinea-Bissau”. The lecture is based on field research in Guinea-Bissau, conducted in April this year as part of the DIGitART project.
