Introduction to VANIS

On April 4, 2025, a workshop titled „Introduction to VANIS – Visual Artists Network Information System“ was held at the Institute of Art History. Following an introductory address by Ljiljana Kolešnik, the former leader of two HRZZ projects (ARTNET and Glob_Exchange), within which the initial information system and visualization tool CAN_IS was designed and developed, the workshop on further development of the system was led by Dr. Artur Šilić. Workshop participants included members of the DIGitART project, collaborators of the ERC project Housing.Yu, and interested employees of the Institute of Art History.

The workshop is the result of work at the project “Digital Network, Spatial and (Con)textual Analysis of 20th Century Art Phenomena and Heritage“, conducted by the Institute of Art History from 2023 to 2027 and funded under the program of European Union – NextGenerationEU.
